We don’t know if SOC has a current Global Messenger 2. Leslie was nominated, but the last Global Messenger was also from the GTA 3. It is important that athletes take their medication 4. Coaches should know if athletes are taking medication 5. The floor hockey tournament in May is the Quebec Floor Hockey Tournament 6. There was about Special Olympics in the Sun, and they had the wrong date as to when Special Olympics was founded 7. Megan needs to check on the Montreal tournament for specifics regarding Canadian participation 8. The bowling tournament will be one week earlier this year due to March break 9. Bowling registration forms will be inserted in the upcoming newsletter 10. Last year at the bowling tournament there were quite a few 5-pin bowlers 11. The Bowlathon is the same day as the Mary Matthews Basketball Tournament 12. Athletes need to make sure they give their coaches and Megan their new addresses 13. There is a floor hockey tournament that some of the Athlete Committee members will be taking part in two weeks 14. The Provincials will take place July 28- 31st 2005 15. Provincials is on a long weekend 16. The Seals swim team and the Eels swim team sounds similar 17. Canada Post will raise the cost $0.01 (cent)—Robert is trying to get the receipts out this week to avoid the additional cost 18. There is a fund available for Special Olympics athletes affected by the Tsunami 19. Amongst TSO athletes there is a lot of concern about the Tsunami 20. There is a bowling tournament on February 12th, some of the members will be attending the tournament 21. Some teams share buses to and from tournaments to save on cost 22. Leslie raised $225.00 for her team and won a portable CD player 23. Monday, December 20th: 7 athletes went to see Marcia Mack; most of the Athlete Committee was there. They were there for about 2-3 hours. She was happy to hear what they were up too, and what was going on. 24. Entertainment books are still available 25. Sometimes televised programs use the wrong term for an intellectual disability. We have to lead by example and correct people when they use the wrong term 26. The athletes are happy to hear that some coaches are handing out the Rights and Responsibilities 27. Athletes need to qualify for the games in Winnipeg 28. Toronto will not be sending a Rhythmic Gymnastics athlete to the summer games in Niagara. 29. The ski team will be ready for the next provincials 30. Nationals would be really fun to take part in 31. Ontario brings a lot of athletes to the National games because we have more athletes than other provinces 32. We are proud of our Ontario Athletes 33. Ontario seems to win a lot of medals at Provincials 34. Megan will go to her first Provincials this year 35. Parking is limited at Kennedy Bowlerama, the new venue is nice 36. The ski team had registration last night 37. People can donate their Air Miles to Special Olympics 38.
